TikoMed’s Board of Directors has appointed Dr Björn Pilström as Chief Executive Officer of TikoMed. Dr Pilström has an MD from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm and a PhD in Immunology from Stockholm University. He has more than 25 years’ global experience from commercial, medical and managerial roles in the life science industry.
The former CEO Henrik Otendal will return to his previous role as Chief Financial Officer of TikoMed. The board wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the work Mr Otendal has completed as the company’s CEO. Dr Pilström and Mr Otendal will continue to work closely together leading TikoMed into the future.
The board has also approved a new management structure with roles as Head of CMC, Head of Regulatory Affairs and Head of Drug Safety being part of the managerial team.
